
Over 26,000 Users Joined Shelly Group’s Earth Day Initiative
On April 22, Shelly Group demonstrated the tangible power of IoT technology with its global “Earth Day” campaign. Through the Shelly Smart Control App, more than 26,000 users worldwide collectively switched off 65,348 smart devices in just one hour.
Real Impact in Numbers
The initiative saved over 2 megawatt-hours (MWh) of electricity - equivalent to the average two-month consumption of a household or more than 11,000 kilometers driven in an electric vehicle. “This campaign proved that innovative technology, strategic partnerships, and engaged users can create real impact.” commented Ivan Zahov, Chief Marketing Officer, Shelly Group.
Partnership with Zendure
As part of the campaign, three participants were awarded prizes from Shelly’s partner Zendure. Winners received the advanced Zendure Hyper 2000 energy system with modular AB2000S battery, designed for solar storage and fully compatible with Shelly Pro 3EM. Together, these solutions provide energy independence and significant cost savings.
ESG Strategy in Action
The campaign reflects Shelly Group’s long-term ESG strategy, which focuses on adopting international sustainability standards, investing in renewable energy, and developing technologies with lasting environmental value. Far from being symbolic, the initiative contributes to measurable reductions in carbon footprint achieved directly through the Shelly app.
